WE need a Christmas Angel

Grammie4 started this conversation
Was hoping things would be good this yr but it isnt and I see no way for Christmas to happen . I am a grandma raising my 4 grandbabys on my SSI I dont get no help for the kids cause there parents always stop me from getting legal custody of the kids so I can get help cause they seem to think it would benfit me. The kids are 2 girls 5 and 15 and 2 boys 4 and 11. The 5 yr old has had 3 open heart surgerys and will face more as she grows. She was born with pulmonary atresia, dextrocardia, Transposition of the Great Vessels( Basically everything on her heart was backwards), and an ASD and VSD (two holes in her heart) This is how I ended up with the kids cause there parents couldnt handle the stress of a sick child so they left all 4 with me. Thank God she was fixed after tha last one. They dont help at all with the kids and dont even get Birthday or christmas presents for the kids. It breaks my heart to think these 4 kids could wake Christmas morning with nothing under our little tree. I hate asking for help but I would do anything for my babys. These kids mean the world to me and I may not beable to give them much but I sure give them lots of love. The kids have never had much so dont ask for much I just wnat them to have something under the tree it can even be used as long as it is in good condtion. PLEASE is there a Christamns angel for us. When things were better and I didnt have the kids I adotped kids for Christmas and got so much joy from it. I am more of a giver than a reciever and thats why it makes it hard for me to ask for help

in response to seeking seraphim...   And I did get 2 gameboy games at a yard sale over the summer so I did buy something. Its not much but we just dont have it. I dont like Our situation and i AM NOT HAPPY the way it is but unfortunetly There isnt much else we can do. If you knew our whole situation you may be more understanding. People are so quick to judge. You dont ask questions WHY things are this way you just start judgeing. Last yr when we had the offer of coloring books and ect for the kids I remioved all the post. I could have left them up and waited for more help but I didnt. If your interested in knowing why we are in this shape please ask.

in response to seeking seraphim...   I am sorry but your wrong.. I am not on any yahoo groups but one and I am on here and something hero and I have got NO help. And it has been three yrs and we got one person last yr to help and it was coloring books and crayons and a sticker book for the little ones a few hip hop Cd for the 15 yr old and the 11 yr old got drawling paper and pencils. All I can say I hope you never walk in my shoes. We nearly lost my husband in 2009 and he had to quit working cause he had surgery and he quit breathing 45 min after surgery his heart and lungs were damaged and he spent time in ICU on life support. He gets $1050 a month try living on it. Im sorry it bothers you and all I can say is you dont have to help. The kids didnt ask for this life and I cant stand seeing them suffer for it. I WISH I could have got a few gifts but we are already behind in bills and the cars ball joints are about to go and we have no money for that. The 5 yr old has heart problems and we need a car with her. She has had 3 open heart surgerys and has a pacemaker But ohh well you dont care so doesnt matter

in response to Cookums...   Cookums is on every forum and belongs to every yahoo Christmas group, every site, etc. EVERY YEAR. I'm starting to wonder how much help one family could possibly need before they were able to get a few gifts on their own.

I was so hoping Someone mwould respond to this post. Its scary thinking the kids could go without at Christmas. Last yr there was coloring books and crayons for the two younger ones the 11 yr old got drawling paper and the pencils he was wanting. He loves writing his own comics and is good at it. he started a series of comics which he calls the fazt Fud which would be fast food but he wanted it diffrent he has one guy called Fry guy and I forget the others but they are pretty good for a 11 yr old. The 15 yr old got a hip hop Cd I just want them to have a better Christmas. They have had this hard for them and ask for very little. Would it help to have a amazon or walmart wish list???
